Lefevre, Edwin, "Flagler and Florida." Everybody's Magazine. (February 1910) pages 168-186.
In this article, a journalist travels on the East Coast Railway and reports about his trip. We learned specific details about the hotels and the grounds. We also gained first hand insight into the relationship Mr. Flagler had with his employees. This journalist also had and interview with Mr. Flagler and we learned to see what type of person he was.
The Flagler Museum

We were able to go see where Henry Flagler lived. Also we learned about his lifestyle and all of the great art work he had in his homes. We also saw his own box car that he traveled in from place to place.

This book talks about building the railroad down to Key West and how difficult it was to build. He undertook one of the hardest projects at this time period and wanted to see it done before he died.

It talks about what important railroads that Mr. Flagler bought and built, what his trains looked like and where they were located.

Men Who Built America. Dir. Ruan Mogan. Perf. Ford, Rockefeller, Carnegie, Morgan, Vanderbilt. History Channel, 2012. (I watched Rockefeller and Vanderbilt).
These men transformed every industry they touched including: oil, rail, steel, shipping, automobile, and finance. They were the men that changed this country forever. From these videos I was able to see the time period and see what other competition was out there.
